Twitterific Developers Respond to Comments on Lack of Accessibility in Version 4.0 for OS X
— ♣Earlier today, we reported on the lack of accessibility in Twitterific for Mac in its most recent version, noting that it was a significant step backward from the previous version in this regard.
Responding to a VoiceOver user on its Twitter account, the developers have stated:
"We took great pains to make it work properly in iOS and will for the Mac as well. Technical limitations with our framework. It would have meant a delay of at least another 2 months to get VoiceOver working properly. It’s VERY important to us. Its a technical limitation of how Twitterific 4 for the Mac is implemented. The limitation has to be worked around. Takes time."
We are happy to see the developers communicating with the VoiceOver community, and are glad to hear that accessibility is being worked on.
